It's a blustery winter Saturday. I finally pulled myself out from under my cozy t-shirt sheets and down comforter. This would be a perfect day to sit by the fireplace and drink hot cocoa, but alas, I have no fireplace! I love the snow, and the weather report is calling for 6-10 inches. It's still a little cold to go sledding. What shall I do today? hmmm ...

This fall was my first attempt at running more than a mile. I joined a relay team in the Akron Marathon and ran a 5K (3.1 miles). I actually had a blast and beat my practice time! Who would've thought I'd ever enjoy running?

Since there's not much updating yet on my site, we'll go back in time a bit. This summer, I went with my friend, Monica, to visit some other friends in New Jersey (Marlise) and Pennsylvania (Kathleen). While there, we took a train to New York City for a day. When we returned to Ohio, another friend, Lydia, came for the weekend. A fabulous time was had by all!

I'm setting up my first blog tonight. I've only recently been exposed to blogs. Blog. What a funny word. According to http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/ethicalesq/2003/10/01, it was coined by Peter Merholz, who posted on the sidebar of his homepage, peterme.com, "For What It's Worth I've decided to pronounce the word "weblog" as wee'- blog. Or "blog" for short."
