hole in wall

Last Friday, I had my plumbing replaced up to my second floor bathroom. I don't yet have pictures of the plumbing, but you can see the great hole that was left in my wall!

my new office

I have a new office! I guess I can say that it's thanks to Brian leaving, though I'd much rather have my old office with Brian still here.

Last Tuesday, Kenton, Jim, Matt and I took apart the "Commander" and moved it out. That afternoon and evening, I cleaned out the rest of the stuff. Wednesday was moving day for me. Kenton and I discovered that the desk in here is not attached to the wall like the rest of our desks, so we were able to push it back a bit, away from the door. Today I put on the finishing touches—pictures, clock, wall sconces and a "Lord of the Rings" calendar. I really like it—believe it or not, it's much bigger than my previous office. Although, I keep moving up in the office world—at my old church my desk was in the sound booth!

post the twenty-eighth

BK, this post's for you!

This Friday will mark the first major repair to my new house—plumbing! I've had bad hot water pressure the whole time I've lived here and recently found out how corroded my pipes are. Let's just say, 80 years old! So, I got a couple of estimates and was very thankful that the second one came in at almost half the price of the first one. I'm replacing the pipes from the basement to the 2nd floor bathroom. The plumber is going to cut a nice big hole in my freshly painted dining room wall to get the existing pipe out. But I should be able to take a shower and actually get wet Saturday morning!

do i really want to blog this?

The triumvirate is ended. Our friend is leaving for North Carolina in a few days.

We all look so happy here— probably because Brian used the timer on his camera and it took 4 tries to get this shot!

It's been a really sweet 2 years, 7 months, 15 days working together as a team.

But life goes on, as my mechanic frequently says. (Yes, I'm just saying that because it sounds good.)

And Brian, you know this, but we'll miss you.

Hey—how did you end up tallest in this picture?

really great people

These are some of the people with whom I get to serve. The picture was taken at our annual Worship Team/ Rhythm Section Christmas Party. (Yes, I stole this from Brian's blog. It was easier than scanning my photo.)

This was the largest turn-out we've ever had for this—probably twice what we had last year!

These folks are terrific—they love God and love to lead people in worship, and they're just plain fun! It's a privelege to work alongside them every week.
