A couple of weeks ago, 6 guys from my department and I went to the Willow Creek Arts Conference. It was strangely called "Thwonk." We had lots of fun using this word, as one would use "smurfy."

Actually, it was all about collaboration—with teammates, other departments, etc.
There were four really good speakers, including Nancy Beach, who spoke about forgiveness. She reminded us how much it hampers ministry when teammates have unresolved conflict. At the end of the session, she encouraged us to reconcile with anyone whom we might have resentment or bitterness.
That evening, we went to a yummy steakhouse, and after the Delirious? concert (which made me feel delirious), we went to the Cheesecake Factory. Yum. We also had a great discussion.
On Wednesday evening, we went downtown and had deep dish Giordano's pizza. Yum again. Then we walked around downtown.
I think the biggest thing we took away from the week was that it was great to be together and reconnect as a team. But it's already added to our creativity, too.
And then there was the 80's music for about 4 hours on the way home.

NOTHING brings a group together like hours of 80's music...
It's ok, I forgive you, Emily...
Yeah, if you just would have apologized sooner, maybe I wouldn't have had to quit!
Hey if you liked the Willow Conference you should go to www.ministryhub.com and check it out. I think you would like it!
